Congratulations goes out to Dr. Angela Cánovas in the Department of Animal Biosciences for her new position as the OAC Chair in Phenomics and Systems Biology!

Dr. Cánovas' research dives into understanding the genetics behind desirable traits in the cattle, swine, and sheep industries in Canada. Her work is leading to the improvement of yield and gains through genetic selection. 

She has been a researcher with the U of G since 2015 and we are excited to see her continue to grow in this role. Congratulations Dr. Cánovas!
