Pain control for band castration of bull calves
What is this project about?
This project examines the effects of oral meloxicam for pain control after band castration of newborn bull calves. This will better our understanding of the effects this procedure has on animal health, welfare, and evidence of pain as there is little research on band castration. Potential benefits this work provides to the industry include increased productivity, more efficient anti-inflammatory medication use, and increased public esteem.
